What a device, a network or a file left behind, and what can honestly be said about it. Every one of these runs here, on this device, and sends nothing — which is the whole reason they are usable at all.

An analyst cannot upload a connection log, a call record or an exhibit to somebody else’s server. It breaks the chain of custody, and for a great deal of this work it is simply forbidden — which is why the browser tools that would help have always been unusable by the people who need them most.
