Black out what should not leave your hands, and have it actually gone. SEAL renders each page, paints your redaction areas into the pixels, and rebuilds the document from those painted images, so the export has no text layer to select, no fonts, no annotations, and nothing hiding underneath a rectangle. The file never leaves this tab.
Choose a PDF to begin.
The removed content is genuinely removed. A black rectangle drawn over a PDF in most editors is an annotation sitting on top of text that is still in the file: select it, copy it, and it is right there. SEAL rebuilds the page from a bitmap that has already had the pixels destroyed, so there is nothing underneath.
The output is images, and that is the trade. Text in the exported PDF is no longer selectable or searchable, and the file is larger than the original. That loss is the mechanism, not a side effect: a redaction that preserved the text layer would not be a redaction.
It removes what you cover. SEAL does not scan your document for sensitive content or guess what should go. Read the whole file and mark every area yourself, including headers, footers, and anything in the margins.
Check the preview before you send. Pages are rasterised at 2×, which is faithful for ordinary documents. Very fine print or large-format plans may soften.
Your file stays here. The document is read and rewritten in this tab and is never uploaded. The PDF engine itself is fetched from a public CDN, so the first load needs a connection: after that, no part of your document is sent anywhere.
The record is a hash, not a signature. It lets you or anyone else confirm a file is byte-for-byte the one produced here. It does not prove who produced it, and it is not presented as though it does.
