Fifty millimetres over eighteen square metres is 0.9 of a cubic metre. What that weighs depends on the load, so the density is shown and yours to change.
Where it is going
A layer that will be compacted goes down thicker than it ends up. How much more to order depends on the material and the plate; ask the supplier, and put their figure in. It starts at nothing rather than at a guess.
The material
The densities in the list are typical loose figures, and the same stone weighs more wet than dry and more graded than single-sized. The figure on the supplier’s ticket is the one to use. Bark and compost are usually sold by the litre: choose “volume”.
