Counting days is easy to do and easy to get wrong, and the cost of getting it wrong is out of all proportion to the difficulty. This counts calendar days, business days or clear days from whatever starts the clock, skips the public holidays of the place you pick, and then shows its working line by line, so the date is something you can check rather than something you have to believe.

Court vacations, local holidays, anything the built-in list does not know about. They are treated as non-working days everywhere in the counting.
The holidays are worked out rather than typed in, so they are right in years nobody has got to yet. Look at any year and see what this page believes.
Clear days are the ones people get wrong. Seven clear days after Monday the 1st is not the 8th: clear days count neither the day of the event nor the day of the deadline, so there are seven whole days in between. The page says so in the working every time it uses them, rather than quietly applying a convention you might not have meant.
The holidays are computed, not listed. Easter comes from the anonymous Gregorian algorithm, the rest from the ordinary weekday rules, with the substitute-day conventions each place actually uses, including the British habit of pushing Boxing Day along when Christmas Day lands on a weekend and the American one of observing a Saturday holiday on the Friday before. Any year from 1900 to 2200 can be inspected before you rely on it.
It shows its working because a bare date cannot be checked. Each deadline says what was counted, which days were passed over and why, where it first landed, and what moved it. That is what makes it possible for a colleague to find the mistake, which is the only way mistakes get found.
It does not know your rules. There is no rule book in here and no jurisdiction setting that quietly picks one. Court rules differ by court, by track and by the kind of application, and they change. You tell it how to count; it counts, and it counts the same way every time.
Your office's closures matter as much as the public ones. A day the registry is shut is a non-working day for your purposes whatever the statute says, so anything you add is treated exactly like a bank holiday in every calculation.
Calendar days are counted straight through from the day after the event: 28 calendar days after the 1st is the 29th. Clear days exclude both ends, so seven clear days after the 1st is the 9th, because the 2nd to the 8th are the seven whole days in between. English civil procedure uses clear days in several places, and it is the single most common counting error.
