Freeze a web page as evidence ARCHIVE
ARCHIVE turns a page you have saved into one self-contained file that cannot change or call home, fingerprints it with a SHA-256, and writes a capture record. In this tab, nothing uploaded.
1. Save the page first
Open the page and use your browser's Save Page As: Single File (.mhtml) in Chrome or Edge, Web Page Complete in Firefox or Safari.
2. Freeze it
Or paste the page HTML
Raw HTML from View Source or a copied element. Linked resources are not inlined, so a saved Single File is better.
How it works
A screenshot is weak evidence of what a web page said. Keep the file and the record together, and anyone can later check that the page is exactly what you captured.
Doing this often? OBSCURA Case keeps captured pages with the rest of the evidence: searched, tagged and produced with Bates numbers. On its own, US$4 a month; with everything else, US$9 a month or US$79 a year. 7 days free.
