It is a directory, a letter and a tracker. The links take you straight to each broker's real opt-out page, the letter is filled in with your details and cites the statute, and the tracker remembers what you have done, so a job that takes an afternoon does not have to be redone from memory.
It cannot file the requests for you. A browser tab cannot submit a form on another company's website or send an email as you; the browser blocks both, for good security reasons. Any tool that claims to "automatically remove you from 150 sites" from your browser is not telling you the truth about how browsers work. EXPUNGE does the parts that can honestly be done here and takes you to the rest.
Removal is not permanent. Brokers buy data continually and can re-list you months later, which is exactly why the tracker exists: come back, check, and repeat. Some brokers also ignore requests; the law gives you a complaint route, and the letter notes it.
Your identity stays with you. Unlike a paid removal service, EXPUNGE never collects your name and address on a server. Everything is in this browser, and the tracker is stored only on this device.
