DATASCAN
Before you email a spreadsheet, upload a dataset, or hand a CSV to a contractor, check what personal data is hiding in it. DATASCAN reads a CSV or JSON file right in your browser and points out the columns that look like emails, phone numbers, SSNs, card numbers, addresses and more, so a "just the numbers" export does not quietly ship a list of real people. The summary is free; the column-by-column detail needs a Sovereign pass.
DATASCAN runs entirely in your browser and never uploads your file. It flags columns by matching the shape of their values (and column names for free-text fields like names and addresses), so it can miss an unusual format and can occasionally over-flag. Treat it as a safety check before sharing, not a guarantee that a file is clean. It reads only the structure and values you give it, and forgets everything when you close the tab.
