Critical dates and clauses

Found clauses appear here, soonest first.

The calendar file adds an event for each dated deadline, with a reminder a week before, and drops into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. Where a clause says "ninety days before renewal," ABSTRACT works the deadline back from the renewal date for you.

What this is, and what it is not

It catches the language these clauses use. Automatic renewal, termination and non-renewal notice, rent and fee escalation, expiry and payment-due wording, and it keeps only the clauses that carry a date or a notice period, because those are the ones you can act on.

It is not a lawyer, and not a complete read. A clause written in an unusual way can slip past, and an ordinary date can be flagged that is not really a deadline. Every item shows the sentence it came from so you can check it in seconds. Use it to catch what a skim misses, then read the contract.

Dates are read as written. A contract that says "the last business day of the quarter" has no date to extract; only explicit dates and counted notice periods become calendar events.

A scanned contract is a picture. If the PDF is a photo of the pages rather than real text, nothing can be extracted. Ask for a text PDF or the Word file.

Nothing leaves this tab. The agreement is read and scanned in browser memory.
